With 2018 being a busy year on composite decking one of our suppliers has introduced a budget range of composite decking to its port-folio. They are hoping that this will target the individual who has a lower budget to spend.
Trex Clam shell decking
One of the colours that they have introduced into this particular range is called Clam shell it is a medium shade of grey in a single colour and has a corrugated finish on the underside of the board.
So whats different and why is the Trex Basic Range cheaper
- The centres need to be reduced on the Basics range.
- The outer surface isn’t as durable as the Premium ( Best ) Trex transcend range.
- The basics range cant be curved.
- Singular colours on the Trex Basic decking boards.
- Only two colours available in the Trex basics range.
Trex decking has been the market leader for a number of years with their Transcend range so it is great to see new more affordable composite decking products being rolled out. With the price on the Basics range being significantly reduced I think that this range will really take off.
